i got a 15 tooth sprocket from, x18nfs, and a modded muffler, race cdi, and a performance cdi, from x7thumbsup2 any ways gut in the air filter and cdi when i got home. and its way faster!!! the air filter opening was to big but i go it to fit, the way that i made it fit was i cut a pice on radiator tube and put it in the opening. but it takes longer to start up cold. and i here a lil sound coming from the air filter, like its sucking in air from a the tube i cut. ill try to fix i tomorow. and when i give it throttle all of a sudden or to quick,it turns of.???:confused: and it feels kinda slugish.??!! i think it cuz of the tube i put in there so itll fit.?? any one know??

and i got some signal lights for my x18,




i got 4 of them 2 front, 2 back. 5.99 each, plus tax
im thinking of puting them on the screws that hold the side farings on, and the other like on the sides of the muffler, im not shure???

you got me lost you say its faster but feels sluggish!? lol
also the sound from the intake is normal once you put a filter
and for the dieing after a fast rev part make sure the motor is warm 100 % sometimes even being a bit cold or even humid will change the motors running conditions
also check for humidity levels outside :D

well the cdi might change the timeing so it might have gotten you topend but lose of a bit of lowend power

tomorow ill check, ill put the stock cdi and see if it still dose that.

but keep it on the cdi i mean cant help but like a few more topend numbers

Air filter leak is part of your problem. The rest dunno

well if ninja has the filter on right it shouldnt leak
and he did change the sprocket so more topend a bit less lowend aswell even if its 1 tooth u can notice something

o, yeah thats what i was thinking, well i cant put it on right cuz its way to big!!!lol but ill try to fix it some way. ive had the sproket on there for a long time, it was a 14 tooth, to 15 tooth.


lol i just noticed i put cdi twice, on the first post. i ment performance air filter.haa

when put on the turn signals ill post pics, i put them there just need to wire it up.??? it only gots one wire, and i want it so that it has a lil plug.

if your bike is sluggish in the mid range, try dropping the C clip in the carb

all you have to do is take the top part off with the nut on it, where the throttle cable goes in. then the slide spring and needle will come out in one piece. squeeze the spring down and take the cable off. now look inside the slide and you will see and little tiny spring with a clip holding the needle in. push the needle out with your finger over top of slide so everything doesnt go flying. when you get the needle out you will see the c-clip. drop it one notch and go from there. now to put back together reverse what i said. hope this helped.

r32 yeah its the x18 muffler, and x7rocks did the muffler mod for me.



that stupid tapping sound is from the front brakes, my forks vibrate and shakes the pads,angry_red i tightend the brakes but still wont shut up, what else could i tighten???:confused: when i hold my front brakes it stops.

yeah i had it right on the carb but it started falling off! so i had a radator tube laying around, like id they would of made it just for what i needed it for, it fits good on the carb, and in the air filter.thumbsup2

you guys need to check/tighten your neck bearings if its vibrating the front end
the top triple clamp has to come off, then you can tighten it with a big adjustable wrench

Ninja x1, In your first post in this thread you talked about a sucking sound from your air filter, I could hear it in the video. That's just the air rushing into the intake, the stock air filter assy acts like a muffler so you don't hear that.
