would be, i think its going to look like ass until i paint this whole bike

god dam why does it get more and more $$$

im gonna use half fairings on the x18 if i ever get one....on that note i found one for kinda cheap with a asking price of $250...no fairings tho

Supercharged

nah i dont think its needed really....i just hold onto mine if i ever loop it but im not really goin fast either when i loop...ive let the side case tap the ground 1 time but only put scratches on it....but yea if you could fabricate one that wouldnt break the motor mounts off or bend them then yea it would be cool

ps...a lil thing that helped me learn rear brake.... i would have the brake rubbing a little bit while moving really slow so i could bring it up to balance point quick and just put more pressure on the brake if i went behind BP....if you go slow its easier to jump off or catch the bike and less risks of gettn hurt....

another thing you can try is lowering the air pressure alot til you can squish the tire with you fingers a little

see why my videos sucked was because i wasnt going fast enough, my buddy said i was going way faster when we went riding with his z50

so i cant go slow, its balls the wall you knocrazy_smilie

today is the exhaust mount ending, rene was right about the mount.

so heres the scoop, we took flat stock and lined it up with the swingarm bolt, drilled two holes. 1 for the swingarm bolt and 1 other for some rigidity. it will weld to the exhaust along with another mount.

pictures soon of how it functions, before my fairing mount was hard as hell to get the exhuast on functionally and off without scratching it

oh also i should add my head where bolts screw broke off completely. think about taking a screw and getting one sid tight and the other side you can stick your middle finger in the hole.

it broke on both sides, good thing we picked up some aluminum rods, ill do a sticky and how to on redoing head bolts

we goona have to melt the hole back up, tap it, thread it and shes good to go

wait maybe this gives me an excuse to buy a BVH

how much exhaust to run the engine around the block without burning the valves...the x18 stock exhaust is 2 peices, a header then pipe to flange and muffler...i just have the header and no muffler.

i want to ride so bad, i just started up my bike.

i also had to check and see if it has gotten stolen yet:DI:

in the first vid, the 'ticking' is the valve lash
take off those two chrome caps and loosen the nut there
you need a feeler gauge, .005 intake, .007 exhaust

You were asking about mount ideas for the exhaust, right. I didn't do anything fancy. I just had a tab welded to the frame, used a flat piece of aluminum (came with my exhaust), and a metal band the is wrap around the exhaust with a hole in it.

Here you go, if you look when I get to the brake side you can see what I did.

if the lash gap is too much it will tick, its not good but better than no gap at all
the gap allows for heat expansion of the valves, thats why the exhaust is more, it get hotter and expands more

Here's my almost finally step for a mirror finish. It close enough you can stop with this or go on and get it near perfect. I buy mine at Wal-Mart and they're not expensive at all. There are two grits get the one that fine. The other one takes out long scratches and the other polishes it right up.

sounds like a plan, i guess my intake is supposed to be really rough for atomization....the exhaust is the one that has to have a mirror finish.

imma have my buddy bring his dremel here and head up to wally world i hope, thanks for the heads up

sup, to set valve lash, roll motor to TDC
take off those two caps on the head
loosen the nut you see, there is a threaded rod that goes through the middle
with a feeler gauge, measure the gap between the rocker and valve top
adjust the rod so the feeler goes in and out easy, lock it down with the nut
.005 intake
.007 exhaust

personally if i had your setup i would put my 26 taper bore on it
i like to try and keep the carb size close to the intake valve size, which for you, is 23mm
so id get a good 22 or 24

well you can try a 26mm then, no larger and not the vm series tho
your valve is still only 23mm, so its gonna be like trying to get 50 people through a small door at once
unless you had some sort of forced induction......
so why dont you have a supercharger on your bike yet?
