Dudes and dudets check this out.LOL this thing sounds badass.
Deosn't look very fast but i'm pretty sure in the right hands you can get some power and speed out of it.It's only a 125cc inline 4.It's gotta be maken some good torque if anything.I know Iknow it wouldn't be efficient for road corse racing. Yeah it does look slow as hell. But if you close your eyes and listen to it.It sounds like it's going well over 100mph easy.bluelaugh

Yeah it's a shame how something that sounds so good can be sooooo slow.
I think if i had that motor in one of my bikesI used the o'l psych out game.Bring it out to the track start it up and rev it a few times. Then shut her down. Then say naw ain't ready to handle this one yet.Maybe later if i get the courage up i might putt around.(literally)bluelaugh

The creator was a genius to put that motor together without altering the width of the stock block to much.

sounded a little like it needed a different gearing.....The sound is crazy, I'd like to have one just for the sound, screw how fast it was, it would be cool just to have one to putz around on with a nicer 4 into 1........I imagine the pistons are only an inch in diameterbluelaugh

Wonder if that upper half will bolt on any honda bottom end or if the block is designed for that upper half??....

Any idea where to find one at?? and the cost??

watch within a year and Lifan will have one out....

for sure i would do it no matter how fast it is. plus it looks as if the gearing is really low, so slap a good highher gearing in it and i betcha it will haul.

I think i figured something out.The engine block is standard. So the crank from the engine block is probably used to turn the crank in the unit.(wait thats vice versa)Now the crank in the unit must also play the roll of the cam also.So the crank in the unit must have lobes on it to move the pushrods which opens and closes the valves 1 carb feeding the motor and no distributor.Wow the amount of calculations that went into that whew. That thing has got to have some weight to it.The inventor is a genius.

The motor on that thing is a direct bolt upcylinder and head design to the horizontal motors we use..............it might fit on 110 superbike frames direct also.......................Got 3 gs to drop????????????

Its a 125cc Inline 4 cylinder with a mega ported and polished head.........

The reason why its a little sluggish is because it only has 1 carb feeding 4 cylinders.............

I saw the ad in Kneeslider around May.

$3000?? Ouch..... For that money I'd look for one of these... maybe only a 2 banger but on a pb frame it would be sweet.. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Yamaha-LS2-100-cc-Yamaha-Yamaha-100-LS2-1972-Yamaha-100-LS2-Twin-Cylinder_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQcategoryZ6718QQihZ012QQ itemZ220281244833QQrdZ1QQsspagenameZWDVW

Im sure if he can design a 4 ;-Someone can design and patent a more practical 2/3 banger design also and it would cost half as much........................

It just takes the right software program to design one..............thinking_smilie

CAM I think you're right about the carbs. If you put 4 carbs on it AND used the right type gearbox it would burn the tires off the bike. What I mean about gearing is that Honda had a GP bike (I talked about on another thread somewhere) that had like a 12spd gear box. It was a 50cc, 125cc, or a 250cc I can't remember. They raced it at the Isle of Mann TT. What I'd like is a parallel twin 4 valve horizontal motor thumbsup2

Not inline 4 but a inline 2.

Rene, what is that off of?? looks pretty cool...

I wonder how much torque and rpm that inline 4 would hold up to?? I mean with only one connecting rod or chain, whatever they use to rotate the other crank for the 4 rods, thats a lot of stress... I'd think it would come apart under hard riding that may be why they have it geared so low now so it has all bottom end power to get ya moving??

Interestingly, the original Honda 750-4 had a primary drive chain between the crank and the tranny primary shaft. It used to get sloppy and noisy pretty quick. It was a double link chain too.

If these guys are only using something like a cam-chain for the link I can't see it standing up to much load. The setup looks interesting though. You can tell it's pretty limited in rpm to around 7500.

Cheers,
