I was wondering if there were really good brake systems or at least pads to replace the stock ones on the X18. I want it to just swap out no cutting and welding if there is such a thing.

If I remember right KTM SX65 brake pads are a direct swap. KTM is no slouch in the "get it right" department.

is that for both front and rear?

Front. If you take your pads to a motorcycle shop they can match the pads using a EBC brake pad catalog. That's how I found out about the front. It's a Chinese copy of a KTM part.
