I'm looking to build up my motor a little this winter. I want to put a TB160 ceramic big bore kit on my OGM140. Has anyone else done this? If so, did you have any issues? When I buy the big bore kit I was thinking about getting a cam as well. There are a few different ones available through tbolt. The TB189 and the TB300 were the two I was looking at. Any suggestions? Will I need new valve springs if I go with the TB300? Will the valves clear a high compression piston? I have a new lifan bvh waiting to be used. With the 27/23 valves. I have a mikuni vm 26 to work with. I was looking into the msd 4217 programmable cdi as well. Cam I know you have experience with the cdi. Is it worth all that money? Does it make a significant difference? All the above parts mentioned would be close to a $500 total. What would you do? I would have to get a lot more power to justify spending the dough. Let me know what you all know or think. Thanks for the help.

The only thing I have done some looking around on is the programmable CDI. Every and I mean every person has said it's not really worth the money. Yes it does change the power delivery but they found it did it only in the mid-range. There was a little more grunt which probably means it flatten the torque curve. Of course all that reading was people who were riding Pit Bikes. The one person who liked it said he liked the mid-range part because he was riding a medium speed course nothing were he needed WTFOT. He pulled corner better but just marginally. twocents

Thanks for your response Nutt. I was looking for the timing adjustment but was more curious about the benefits of the multiple spark discharge. Will that really help burn more fuel?

what is the bore and stroke of your motor?
it needs to be 57mm stroke for that tb kit to work
definatly use the lifan head if the ogm one is smaller
definatly use the vm26mm carb
get a cam for the head you use, i got the most aggressive one you can get and i really need stiffer springs for it
its worth the upgrading
