I finally stopped being lazy and pulled out the gps to see how fast my completely stock bike goes. I timed it at 55 with one person and 45-48 with a 250 pound person. I need to get sprockets and a modded exhaust any place i can buy for cheap. Oh and what would be the best sprocket combo for this setup. (thats all im adding to the bike)

Thanks

I am thinking about just changing my rear sprocket to a 28.
Make 1st and 2nd more useful.

yer right swanni
fisrt and second will become more fun
on a stock motor it will suffer in third and forth till the revs get up
then it will have a much higher top speed, but a breeze will slow you down lol
that is what i noticed with 18/28 on the stock motor
when i went to the 125 first and second got a little better and third and fourth got a LOT better and would pull all the way to the topend
i dont know if my motor is ready for the 22 rear yet...but it will be eventually
for VIR im going 14/28 cuz of all the turns

your rear is 38, count the front

Front on the X18 is 14 tooth, if ya throw a 16 or 17 tooth on the front and get a mod pipe, jet kit and clamp on filter you should see some nice overall gains.

ive got a stock motor semi auto with 15/38 so if you got a manual you should go with a 16/38 if you wanna stunt but if you want speed then go more but lets face it your not gonna go but maybe 60 after you wait for 5 minutes to get the rpms up or find a hill or you can gear it right and get to 50 quick and still be able to do wheelies and stuff...

i have an X7 with a Lifan 140cc 4sp all up trans. that has numerous mods to the engine and different parts of the bike. i have a removeable rear scrape plate for wheelies, and i have 3 inch extensions coming off my rear axel for those interesting wheelies like 360degree wheelies. i start with one foot on one side of the rear peg and just pull it up in 1st and shift to 2nd by hand (this is by far the hardest part) and if i do it right i can keep the balance point and do 360 degree wheelies in about a 10 foot space. and when trying this the scrape plate becomes handy. unless u dont like the tail of your bike the way it is ( i learned that the hard way) and my sprockets are an 18t front sprocket and a 33t rear sprocket. i have a 22t rear sprocket but that is only for top speed runs and i havent even had a chance to use it yet.

yes i am on planetminis and no i dont plan on selling that 22t rear sprocket for my X7. i am going to keep it until i put on my larger carb and bigger bore exhaust and then i am going to put on the 22t rear sprocket. i am only going to use the rear sprocket for top speed runs though. i think that it will help

i only wish i had a digital camcorder to post some vids, but with all of my bills and hobbies(my hobbies cost me the most), a digital camcorder is the last thing i want to spend money on. maybe i can find a friend who has one and then i will post some vids or picks of some of the stunts i do and some of the stunts im working on.
