I made a real cheap airfilter.I had to becuase the carb faces backwards off to the left hand side.So most airfilter will not fit theres no room. This takes no longer than 7min. literally. You can go to your local arts and craft shop to pick up this foam.I used 3inch thick foam then your local hardware or plumming supply shop will have the little coupler.I got the coupler from this local company(tsc)It is a rubber coupler thats mainly used for pluming. It's a 1 1/4 going to a 1 1/2 inch something like that.Well the pics pretty much explains it.Oh yeah i used some rv gasket make to glue the foam to the rubber coupler.Man i thought i had pics of just the rubber coupler.thinking_smilie

i used rubber radiator hose to connect my carb and air filter
i have a 90degree bend to fit mine or else the fork leg would smash it
S you need a 90 on that and shoot it out the side

Beautiful, swheels. Don't forget to oil it for max dust trapping.

Cheers,

Blitz i couldn't beat the price.A buc 1.70 for the coupler 6.00 for the foam.Plus you can use fabric die to make it any colop you want.thumbsup2

Ah man, cool S! The near complete lack of filters on my bike frankly scares the crap out of me. rolleye0010

Whoa, you need to sort that 55. A good airfilter won't affect performance at all but will infinitely increase the life of your motor.

Swheels: How can you go wrong at that price? Plus once the foam gets daggy you can just cut it off and put a new piece on. Priceless mate! thumbsup2

Thats going to be very restrictive. Check into malossi air filters, the one i had was barely even noticable. It worked as a velocity stack/air filter. Wish i had a pic of it but i dont. But ya, check into malossi, they make good shiit.

Red- Not sure what you mean by "sort it". It sounds like you might have replied to the wrong post? I was saying its great and that the bikes need more filtration.

Am I misunderstanding somethin? cheers11

But ya, check into malossi, they make good shiit. The pic i took doesn't show it much i guess i should mentioned it also.I hollowed it out some so it will allow the carb to breathe properly.thumbsup2So it seems to work even though my motor needs a bigger carb anyway.
