Fellows my bud has a problem he just recent received his so call 140cc headkit with big valves from pbu that they port and polish,his mods are inner rotor nology plug in double silcone wire 24mm munku carb but the problem is he cant get it started, gas and fire are no problem compression good he kicks and kicks over but no catch on eng starting what do you guys thinks it is.

Did you check the gap on the spark plug?To check the spark to see if it's been fouled out from gas.Oh #1 make sure the spark plug is good.

well i used to have problems with starting engines becuase the idle was set a bit to high and was giveing to much gas check to see what its set at now
and for easier starting get the motor at a point to where you feel the most compression then kickstart at that point

annnnd well be sure your carb is checked of no air leaks

His first problem is he bought it from PBU and probably got raped on the price...Second of all they don't know thier a$$ from a hole in the ground.....as far as not starting, hard to say ...If they ACTUALLY did take the head apart and port the head (I doubt) maybe the rockers are too tight or too loose, the timing marks might be off if he didn't install it right...

Too bad he bought that, I have a new complete 141cc with a truely ported/polished BVH, race cam, hc piston, IRK, Nology Coil (same as PBU's so called inferno), oil cooler and a true VM26mm Mikuni carb for $500

yeah if you cut that big stupid 2 stroke expansion chamer out and weld the cone back on like I did for my bike plus I used a pitbike headpipe and modded that as it has a 1" i.d unlike pbu headpipe that is either 3/4 or 7/8".......those pipes are not PBewww designed, they are cheap chinese parts and are sold by scooterpartsdepot, and other sites....pbewww just stuck thier sticker on it like the "inferno coil" which is actually a Nology coil designed for big bikes like Harleys but works on the PB's....pbewww sands off the nology stamping and puts thier sticker on it....

I bought my pipe from Dave's last year when they were clearancing them out for $50 shipped....

I'd bet the timings off.

if it doesnt start in the first couple kicks its set up wrong
usually its the carb
when ive had my motor apart i try to leave it full of gas to keep the float floating lol
if it gets stuck up you will get no gas
verify the flow to the carb
tap the side to unstick the float
i dont know how they could have messed the head up unless they bored a little to thin somewhere
check the valve tappets
if still nothing, pull it apart and verify the piston and ring gaps are correct
check for a manifold leak too (air)

when you say it doesnt catch do you mean the recoil starter isnt working?
