what kind of metal are the pegs and peg brackets made out of....

I'm not sure but heard they often break. Someone mentioned somewhere to bolt on some tubing and cap it off from your local hardware store, it's cheap and easily replacable.
Could also try using the BMX freestyle pegs.
The numb-skull skull who had my bike before me welded on a big peg but it's on the side not shown in any of my pics.
I think the pegs might be some sort of aluminum alloy or dropped?
