for the fuse just grab a 10amp blade style fuse and connect using female spade connectors...j ust make sure u cover them good or get the ones that are fully insulated

that cdi isnt any better than the stock one

doesn't it advance timing and have no rev limit....?
X7rocks
04-20-2009, 05:29 PM
stock motors dont have a limit the only limit there is how much your hand can move the throttle and your valve head
the only cdi that i know to give a different power curve is a trail bikes cdi and will not put a rev limiter like i see some cdi's show to say "removes rpm limit and goes to 12,000
Blitz$M.Inc.$
04-20-2009, 05:34 PM
it does not advance timing
the stock cdi doesnt have a limiter anyway, they say that cause the stock fiddy had a limiter
this is the only cdi that advances: http://www.ahpminis.com/store/product_info.php?cPath=77&products_id=530
you get what you pay for

in that case you really do get what you pay forspeechless33
my experiance from the trailbikes seemed good it made a powerband kinda feel to my gpx before i put the inner rotor kit i got but who knows? :dunno:

i tested mine my self and it was a :dunno:
if i cant feel a difference then its just a nice blue color box i bought
man that tokyo mods box is gangsta, i might need that to tune the turbo
X7rocks

"turbo"
???? what you hideing?
Blitz$M.Inc.$
04-20-2009, 05:48 PM
not hiding, i have a turbo, and at higher rpms i think its gonna run bad unless i can find a way to retard the timing on the fly, like that kit will do
X7rocks
04-20-2009, 05:51 PM
for a midbike? pics!!! plz :)
and for a inner rotor kit you can retard the timeing or you can do what i have done to my chain and retard it one tooth on the timeing chain or chage your sensor placement on the flywheel pickup

So yay or nay to the blue "racing" cdi on a stock x15 engine?
X7rocks
04-20-2009, 05:58 PM
nay much more simple stuff you can put for that amount of money imo

And i'm only getting it because i think it's probably my cdi as to why i'm getting no spark. when direct power is given to the coil and let off, i get a spark... so that leads me to blieve that power isn't being given to the coil, so hence the cdi?... ima right?:dunno:

must be the cdi i mean if its for a replacement why not? adds some pizazz to it

no pics yet x7
is the cdi grounded?
the yellow wire goes to the coil
ActBAD ok

I'm pretty sure the cdi is grounded, it grounds through the wires right?(the one plug from the harness to the cdi) or I have to put the box tight against the frame(yes im noob at these electronics, but i try my best to cope)... either way still no breathing sounds of the motor... yes everything is hooked up accordingly. So new cdi O_o?
Blitz$M.Inc.$

the cdi has a blue and white wire that goes to the motor, also a red and black goes to the motor
the yellow goes to the coil
the black/white wire is the kill wire, if its grounded it wont start, the last wire on the cdi is the ground, green i think

kk so the flameout switch... i just always had it connected to the other wire in the flame out plugg... so to get the motor started the red and green power switch together flame out switch apart?
( this is because i have no key)

i think you have it wired wrong
follow this
just leave the kill wire from the cdi loose, if you touch ground with it the motor will die
ActBAD ok

Mine is pretty much wired like that, except i got a ground wire to the motor then to the coil to just make sure i'm getting ground. I've tried with both of the flameout wires together, apart, only one ground etc etc.... nothing gives me spark.:dunno:

well then it could be the coil or cdi
swap out those pieces and see what happens
