tranny question.

i recently rode my bike for the first time in a while, i noticed when i would shift into 2nd, and accelerate it would feel as if the bike was cutting out or like there was some kind of slippage going on. the rear end feels like it jerks 3 times in about the midlde of the gear. sound familiar?:dunno:

if it is slipping sometimes then you got your clutch cable to tight....if its cuttin in and out then it might be bad gas or spark plug....how long is a while???

id say fuel delivery or air blockage, could be just not rode in awhile
sometimes weird things happen for no apparent reason then dont reoccur
change the oil

i may be wrong, but dont these type of motors, the plates can get stuck? but i'm willing to bet, once you get the bike running for a few days it will start to settle down.
