hey guys, on my 15 tank, the spout area is wearing out pretty thin, and leaks gas out from the tank. I was wondering what would be the best way to plug up the stock spout, and add a brass 1/4" air nossle spout a little higher up on the tank (so its a gravity feed system)
I'm not too sure which products are gas friendly, but I got some JB weld, and some plastic epoxy.
but pretty much just drill a hole, and put the air nossle in, i just need to know what type of expoy would work best in this situation.

If you just want to plug the spout, just take a soldering iron and perform surgery. Score the outside of the spout and start to melt the tip of the spout together until it has closed up.
Anything hydrocarbon usually eats through patch work if not done correctly. I think jb weld would only be a temporary fix.
They do make some stuff called fast weld, heard of it... but never seen nor used it before
Good luck

yeah, the plastic nossle is so worn out and thin, you can pretty much bend it around, So i'm gonna see what i do to fix that, and changing the place of teh fuel nossle will def. help my carb out.

there is no reason for pics, its just a tank, that the plastic is thin and worn out and leaks gas, i thought it was fairly self-explanitory, but i guess i'll take a pic?????

Epoxy 2 part work well, I patched a hole in my Ysr tank 3 years ago and no more leaks since.
do not forget to sand rough before.

for fitting leaks, use some teflon tape
it is gas 'friendly'
