View Full Version : TB 160 BBK
I just acquired a GPX 125 engine for a 100 bucs, and a pitbike came with it. But its seized so i will be replacing the cylinder and head. Heres what i had in mind, running the TB 160 BBK with a hi-comp piston and buying a stock head. I would get the big valve head, but for 250 bucs i cant afford it. So I wanted to know if it was ok to run the 160 bore kit with the stock head.

right this second my 146 has the stock head on it because i bent the exhaust valve in the race head
it is nowhere near as bad as it was
the head really makes alot of difference
if i were you, id get a lifan head and a 146 kit
i do not like the 160 kits for the 125 block, look at the cylinder, the hole is right on the edge of the combustion chamber
i guess they work good but i like the 146 myself, i also have a 1mm base gasket to avoid clearance issues
i would bet that the 160 piston would hit the stock head valves
thanks blitz i just realized how close the holes were to the chamber, this is the lifan head right? I like the price!
