Ok first off lte drop the ball on this one.My video camera failed.I only used it a total of 8 times and it sat for a year. Then i go to use it it didn't work.Ok i had the onboard camera i get up to the grid i forget to turn it on.

On that note Them boys at X.M.R WAAAAAAASSSSSS fast!!!!!!!!speechless33 A built 110cc was kickin my butt on the back straight.Again i was out horsepowered.Great bunch of guys at X.M.R.One guy I remeber his screen name jagspeed@xmr was riding a watercooled 110cc bored to a 125cc that hauled........Doug was on a built 146cc.Haulinn. There was some good racing going on.In fact they liked the mid class so much we got to run 5 times instead of just 2 heats.Blitz he rode an excellent race considering it was his first time on a road course and haveing total stock suspension.bows_smilie

Now as for myself i had the best time i ever had! the second heat second.I crash so hard and so fast on the third lap that a thought i just had sex or something.speechless33 Jag had got the holeshot then doug was in second i was so determine to get around Doug that coming off the front stretch going into turn 1 i came in like a 747 got front brakes leaning into the turn BAM! Tucked the front end.It was at a pretty good speed but i got back so fast cause i rolled on to my feet and was ready to go again. It was great!but i got last place. So first heat i got 1place , 2nd heat last place, 3rd heat 4th place,4th heat 3rd 5th heat 3rd. There was a total of (i think)7 md/superbikes.Also But in all fairness Jagspeed broke his right foot peg on the grid restarting his bike so he had to ride one foot off the bike.We had a great battle although they say a win is a win.I like to win when everybody is at there best or it just don't count to me.Then the 4th heat i kept trying to put the move on Doug leading on to the backstretch.I'd get up on the inside of him and we'd be wheel to wheel but he'd pull away from me.Damn under hp again. All in all everybody was Very impressed with the midbike class.thumbsup2

But that counti tire i'm running in the rear was insane i had so much grip in the rear it would cause the front end to slip alittle. That tire HOOKED UP GREAT!

I will try to see if i can get my video camera wrking so i can get some proper video.Oh and remeber to turn the onboard camera on.DAOH! I really wanted some footage of my crash.

Totally right, Nutt.

I remember thinking the same thing the first time i read about fuel injection for watercraft/jet skiis/outboards (ie saltwater).

There is no way the usual crappy rush-to-market R&D is gonna work in that scenario. Sure enough, OMC made a solid design and refined it. When it was ready, they put it out there.

Now every water bike is working on it or already has it...The design is KISS simple which is the *only* way sh*t works in the real world, computers be damned.

I bet some of OMC's earlier injection test stuff was NOT what they were looking for...rock2

A little photo won't hurt.

Heres my low down:

It was my first time really riding the cr85, so naturally it was difficult. The top 5 SEMRA riders were there on CRF150Rs and then Andres from florida, so i had some good competition. After riding pocketbikes for 2 years and then just hoping on a 17inch rim motard, its not easy. Saturday consisted of me falling on my azz and learning the bike. Sunday i dropped a total of 3 seconds off my laptimes. Passing John P and Andres, who saturday were half a lap ahead of me, was a real accomplishment. It was good to see all the mid-bike riders there, Chuck enjoyed having the extra riders. Swheels, great job riding that x18 (or is it an x7?). That thing sure is badazz, you gotta get that engine built though. Oh ya, do not be shy to get close to guys on the track. All of the midbike riders were real timid. No one is gonna swerve it take you out so do not be shy to make a move. You looked good out there.

Peace, I hope this photo upload right.

Hey Nut,
I wish I could find another X-15 with a Watercooled engine. I found it over a year ago on E-bay and have not seen one since. I have a lot of work done to the engine and even after running it hard on the track the engine stays cool. By the way, you really need to come out next time and run with us. The more people we have the better chance that these organizations will keep allowing us to run with them.

I thought they said there was a race in about two weeks in MD @ Sandy Hook. I've approached them about racing there and they said not with the little bikes (safety issue). We'd have to show up strong in order to race but to go just as an exhibition I'm all for it. That's right in my backyard

I wasn't there so I can't say what chuck meant but I'll bet he really didn't want any of the action he sees with Kart's. Bump passing, standing people up (Bikes of course you can't with a Kart), or brake checks. Close racing and brushing bodywork and elbows is going to happen. But with a first time for us on a track timid is probably the best thing for the owners to see. As we go we can get aggressive but not Kart crazy. twocents

You are 100% right. It was the first time we were on a race track and our actions made us enjoing it and have fun. In the end being all friends and not being upset for someone crashing for being aggresive.
