As some of you knw owe at the USMGP haev soem tracks that are a little leary of the length of the footpegs on the midbikes. I was wondering if the design shown aboe could help with this issue and if these would git on your bikes? Check it out. Click on link.

Hey Chuck most of the midbikes that ran at the track in Dublin.Had footpegs that fold up if the bike goes down. My footpegs are up so high, that if there scraping the track. That could only mean one thing the bike and my azz is on the ground.bluelaugh Which the footpegs will fold up and the bike would be rest on the sliders.thumbsup2
For my exhaust i never fell on the rightside.I always and i mean always crash on the leftside when i crash. I could look like i'm going down on the right but the end up crashing on he leftside. I think to break this curse i'm just gonna start crashing on the rightside.

This was just and idea because we had a couple problems at VIR and then at Dublin someone brought it to my attention about how long they are and the concerns going through the turns at full lean with a foot on it. No issue. I am just trying to help find a solution for the race tracks. You guys are getting alot faster and the lean angles at higher speeds do change and I would rather you be safer and not peg your bike and get shot to the moon and these seem to address the issue if all of these possible issues. BTW I have pocketbikes for sale. I know a couple of you were looking into getting one for the track. Get in touch with me if you are interested.

thats why i dont mind the scraping, it lets me gauge the lean since im still too chicken to drag a knee
launching is not new to me, plenty of other things can cause that to happen
id like to know the exact incident that sparked this debate in the first place
i personally think the folding aspect of our pegs makes them sorta safe but if in doubt then you could always make a mandatory maximum of length for the pegs

yeah, mine were stock and after my track day they were gone. good thing about them is they are allum. so they wont tear up the track as much as steel would. I had a few complaints about my pegs during tech inspec.

I think it might haven been me fella's. No my bike didn't make it on the track but those pegs are longer than the pieces you guys were using and they don't fold. People where doing a couple lookies at her and that was probably where that came from :dunno:

don't have to put a knee down to get some serious lean angle its fun (but scary) to see how far you can go over before puttin one down, on my ysr i'm draggin my toe sliders and can almost scrape my elbow but still have my knee up against the tank.

naw i dont but i can still bust a move around a corner, you dont have to drag a knee its just a feeler or if your really good you can save a lowside with it
my earlier races i used the pegs as my feelers, or my feet will drag some
im really just a newbie monster, well for racing anyway
i guess the knees have an advantage tho, i tried to pass S one time and he threw out a knee and blocked me angry_red

yeah, getting a knee out there is a great way to controll the pace of the race, i was doing it to keep the little kid on a motard behind me.

well, just the last two people in the race we did for rider school lol

he was not comfortable in the corners with someone beside him so i would just hog up the line as much as i could and try to keep him far back behind me so he coulndt catch up with me in the straight.

it was only a 2 lap race, but i managed to say out in front. (whoo, i beat a 13 year old, look out, i'm the next rossi lol)

As far as knee down goes. I feel more in control with mine down. It's like a feeler for me so I know where the ground is, BUT one of the fastest guys I've ever seen(out side of the pros) never put his knee down. Guys drug EVERYTHING on their bikes trying to catch him and could'nt. My friend tried like crazy to catch him drug a high pipe on a gsxr600, and still could'nt catch him. So what I'm getting at is fast is fast knee up knee down(outside of the professional level)is just a matter of prefrence. But blitz get some sliders and give it a try if nothing else it is funthumbsup2

i guess i should concede there must be something to it, if all these racers do it
most of my corner thought time is spent keeping the speed right, and i usually can feel how far im leaning by my foot or the pegs scraping, im now at the point where the pegs shouldnt scrape unless im leaned over almost too far, like S said wrecking
so i was feeling the turn with my boots
im kinda mad at vir the last outing because they had sand at the end of the fast straight, all in the hairpin turn and i was worried about really pushing it like sandy hook because of my fear of slipping out in the sand
this was my second time at this track with a much improved bike and i was ready to crush my last times and the mofos go and leave sand on the track, so that sucked angry_red
but ya, im slowly starting to stick it out there, more of a balance thing than a feeler tho
