Swan Man thanks for the heads up on Lowes. I was going to buy some at Harbour Freight but that's a long drive into town. Lowes is down the street. I need some bad trying to build and exhaust system with a tape measure sucks!

How much would you part with that old dial one for? Is it all metal? About how old is it? I plan on getting a digi too, for my more modern projects. But I'm a bit of a steampunk as well, loving clockwork, steam power, and classic tools, thinking_smilie I'll be interested in getting ahold of the oldest (while still accurate) one I can get my hands on, maybe replacing some of the slide and jaw components with brass and copper. Nothin says sexy like brass. thumbsup2

'Sides, after the 'pockylypse batteries=skull

Great buy, jon. They are one of those tools that you quickly find indispensible. Look after them and they will serve you for years. Just keep a spare battery or two handy. They have a habit of going flat just when you need them. thumbsup2

Cheers,
