I added this post to ask a simple question.
On my 114cc I can open a porthole to see the marks, instead of having to take off the side cover and when the marks go by, I do see the line with a "T" next to it, meaning Top dead center. But I also see another one comeing a few degrees sooner, marked with an "F".
What's that one for? I see a few others, that might be there just to let you know TCD is coming up, but if they are something else, let us know!

lol fire?
fire tdc bang
if the F was further away from the T then you would be advancing the timing
you also need to take off the cam cover

sounds logical..and since I had readjusted the valves, and put the cam in with THAT mark..it WAS running a little ODD!
I reset the cam in it's proper position (it was a tooth off) and THAT made it run right, again.
I also got a 78 and 75 main jets, to see if I can get it a little MORE 'spot on'!
Right now, it seems a bt rich, plug color is a bit dark, so I put the needle back to the middle, hoping to get the best balance, and get the mid-low throttle positions a bit more SNAP.
