Hello all, new to this site and just thought id post a few pics of my little beast. Had her for a little over a year now and shes been through quite alot of changes since the first day I bought her. I have learned alot about these little things since I bought my first pocketbike for 100$ off Craigs List. It was a cateye and I probly had just as much fun then as I do now, however now I can go a little faster.
Im happy their is such a place to learn about, showcase, and mod these things. Because if there wasnt Life at allmost 40 now would be boring!!!
Here are a few pics of my unfinished project. And from the looks of some of the bikes here I still have alot to learn...

Hey Monster, Blitz and BH420 thanks for the welcome fellas. @Monster, nice bike man you race her? Im looking to get into that soon, and welcome any tips.. Hey ya Blitz yea its a 90 series had to shave a little off the sides to get it to fit, and stop the chain from rubbing. But man I like that tire...
And yea getting close to the up on the motor. I have bored out the head on this one,26 mikuni,IRK, gearing etc, looking into an oil cooler now.. I ordered a what they call on ebay an engine balancer. Basicly an oil catch that hooks into rear case, oil dip and head breather, but gonna have to relocate the intake or reverse the carb setup due to bottom of float bowl rubs on the head.. Just trying to max out what I can w what I have... Still need to paint this thing!!!
Hey BH420, yea ill def get w ya man on some of those trick parts ya holdin, and again great vid on the tubes(oil flow)...

Hey K-pac, ty sir glad to be here. Hey I wanted to ask some of you that race, Blitz, Swheels, 5star and quite a few others I know I have left out what should I expect showing up to the races in denton tx at the TMGP on sept 4th.. Its gonna be my first time, and im def nervous to say the least..
A buddy of mine that races there, and in katy tx all the time has invited me to go and I think im about ready. I know im probly gonna get left in the dust by some, but I just wanna go and have a good time. I read 5stars post the other day about what hes gonna take and I dont have half of the things hes planning on bringing. I do however have.....
Helmet, ebay body armor(china) gloves, gas, tools, money, phone , gps, laptop, cables(clutch, brake), brake pads, water, and food.
But what along the lines does my bike need. Does it meet specifications etc. Any help would be appreciated...
Thanks in advance..
Oh yea BH420... dont know about STEAM.? Hey quick draw,, hes my hero....

i was nervous the first time too, i just pre-warned everyone that i was a newbie and sorry if i crashed you out
dont worry about other riders, focus on yourself, do not have high expectations, expect to crash but try not to
wear every pad you have
5* went and got his butt kicked and people laughed at his bike and he didnt want to race it anymore, dont be like that, F them people

Ive read some of the rules and looks like ill be in a class that has a mixture of people in, 125's ysr 50's etc and not too sure ill be able to keep up with them at all, that being said Im sure ill be ok though I just wanna go have some fun...
Dont know that ill even be allowed to race, says in the rules that ill need leathers and boots and all I have is a ebay china body armor and some skateboard kneepads I was gonna wear w my jeans, or my hockey knee and shin guards...

well see if you can get away with a leather jacket, sum jeans and knee pads over the jeans and sum riding boots, and obviously a helmet and sum leather gloves

http://www.motorcycle-superstore.com/ or craigslist for gear. I am a advocate of gear for sure. Ive crashed more times then i can remember...literally.. The amount of gear you wear will determin if you get back up from that crash and limp off the track, or pick the bike up and keep riding.
Motorcyclesuperstore has 25-45 dollar helmets on clearance fom kbc and what not. Ive bought 2, worth every penny.

Yea best advice right there. BE HUMBLE, admit your new and just ride. Starting out you'll probably wanna race everyone but youll find your faster if you take your time and approach corners at speeds your comfortable with. Thats the key to racing something with good speed not lots of power. Plus i am constantly anoying by poeple who smash out on me in the straights w/ tons more power only to hold me up in the corners because they break to late or hard and @#^% up their own lines.

Thanks for the info fellas on the gear, yea im gonna play the humble role def. I need to get the feel for the turns downshifting and whatnot and dont expect to be passing very many if any at all. Plus I wanna make friends not enemies..
Read some more today on the tmgp site and apperently im gonna have to take a beginners test for two hours and pay 35 bucks. Heck if they let me ride for three to four hours on the track ill be happy enough....
Wont even be able to stay all weekend, so even if I do make qualify probly wont be able to race much at all..
I will however be happy to have finally worked her on the track, get the feel of somthing other than a parkinglot.....

I guess even with a waiver you sign, like was said in another post"even a lawyer can get through a loophole"
aint sweatin it at all I just wanna get out on the blacktop and ride till I cant take it anymore, which will probly be less than an hour in this Texas heat... todays heat index was 104!!!!
Well on another note two actually, one question and one new addition to the beast.
First, ok so I bought this thing on ebay called an engine balancer, basicly a fancy oil trap. when I got the thing it came with these cheesy carbonated soda hoses, so I went to the auto store and got radiator overflow tubing and cut to fit. I have since started her up and let to slowly idle warm up. Im noticing the hoses are getting really hot close to the head,(duh) but im wondering is that gonna be enough or should I go with somthing else.
Second, if any of you have seen one of my youtube videos then you know I have dabbled in yamaha R1rearsets. Well today I was messin around with a right side brake assembly off an 06 R6, and noticed that they are just about the same size and bolt line up. So heres what I came up with.... Had to grind a little but shes on, now I have to make a bracket outta cardboard and take it to the local welding shop for a caliper bracket.. pics enclosed

Wow thats really neat! What's the verdict on the braking?

Well im gonna have to get that caliper mounted, and if not ill go with the pitbike caliper and just use the rearset an mas cyl on it...

the blue pipe makes me think its been running too lean
prolly that huge pipe and tiny carb
is that a catch can above the muffler?
Sandpan

Thanks Stuntnx7, I love it..
@Blitz Yea, thats an oil catch/w a head breather hose, just for looks you could say.
Probly gonna wire braid all the hoses for a nicer look, but I got a little anxious and painted it before hacking off the upper fairing mounts.
Couldnt wait to see how it looked w 4 cans of krylon. rock2
