View Full Version : Racing at Palmetto Super Track in Elgin, SC

The last round (and double points) of the Palmetto Super Track Summer Series Race will be on Oct 30 & 31. We are located at 2366 Fort Jackson Road, Elgin, SC 29045. Our website: http://www.palmettosupertrack.com/

Saturday, Oct 30 is Trackday. Gates open at 10 am and we will practice until the cows come home.

Sunday, Oct 31 is Raceday. Gates open at 8:30am. Sign up and tech starts at 9am. Riders meeting at 9:15am and practice by class/group will start at 9:30am.

Heat Races start at 11:15am followed by a lunch break from 12:15 - 12:45pm. Riders meeting at 12:50 and the track goes green with racing at 1pm.

Trackday is $25 and race entry is $35 for the first class. Your second and third classes are free. Armbands are $15 for both days and $10 for one day.

The Pocketbikes will run 2 classes (If more show up then more classes).

The Shifters and Mini's (X Bikes included) will run the same classes as SEMRA. If we have a good showing of X Bikes then we will run a seperate class - it's up to you.

Supermoto's are welcomed!

As always, lady spectators get in FREE and camping is FREE!

I to stay for the races on might try to mske it for a little bit of practice time for saturday. I won't be able to stay for the races on sunday thought. but if i'm not to lazy to load up the bike i think i'll try to make it for some track time.:dunno:

Saturday Night Cookout FREE Hotdogs Hamburgers etc for all racers, crew, friends. BYOD
Sunday gates open 8am ...Sign-up, Tech
9am Riders Meeting followed by Open Practice
10am Practice by class begins
12 Lunch Break ....FREE Lunch Compliments of Palmetto Supertrack !!
1pm Main Race starts

**** If you attended our Sept. rained out event you will receive Double points for your class at this race with the exception of T-136 and Adult Novice..T-136 and AN will have 2 SEPERATE point races. ******

Armband Racers and Crew $10 - 1day..$15 for a 2day
Trackday $25
Race Entry $35 for 3 Classes

I won't be making this race.Wife and the girls have a girl scout trip they are going on,on saturday.So they will be using the van.

Well i guess i'll start tearing down the bike this weekend for the winter lay up.
First trackday there next year i will be there for sure. I don't think i went to this track at all this year.angry_red

That's understandable as I went through that when my daughters were young. You missed a great weekend as the racing was off the chain!

I had my "Tard there and secured the Adult Novice Championship at Palmetto for 2010! I brought along my X18 (Olga) and played with it on practice day. I will have my work cut out for me over the winter as you cannot race this bike without making the suspension and handeling mods that has been outlined in on the forum!

Another racer came over to me in the pits on Saturday and commented about the X18 and how he had a roller that he was going to throw away! He was going to use it as a project and decided to buy a Thumpstar instead. He brought it out on Sunday and gave it to me. Everything was there except the plastics. My lucky day!

There is going to be a race Nov 20 & 21 at MGKT in Dublin. Think you might be able to attend?

wow that is your lucky day indeed
glad you got to try the mids out on the track, they do take alot of work to be fast but its worth it
