Yeah I have an rc jet and have seen videos of jet engines on bikes but they did not make enough thrust. I like the idea of putting a turboshaft or turboprop engine on a mid bike and it would be well suited to a simple CVT transmission. The Wren 54 engine has a little more than 6kW (8HP). Jetcat SPT 5 engine has 8HP as well. The Jakadofsky engines have a bit less but have the simplest output method with centrifugal clutch. These engines have no less than 4 times the torque of 125cc engines. There are a dozen more but these ones I liked best. The output shafts are geared down and rotate at the same speed as a normal engines accept for the Jakadofsky. So if anyone has the money, here's a a few fun engines. thumbsup2 http://www.starwoodmodels.com/products/pjw/PJWR1000overview.php

Yea me too! The cheapest turbine engine I know of is $600 and the cheapest turboshaft was $2600 so that's not too wild compared to a turboshaft or turboprop which are priced crazy like $4000+, but you do get what you pay for. Here's a vid of the high quality Wren 54 without the planetary gearbox, being started. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gM6F4S8Pbm0 Here's a vid of a turbine engine on a midbike but I think it's fake because there's no blow starter of electric cone starter and another vid of it sounded fake. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gbJvrC9Gejo

They usually idle about 35,000 rpm or higher and some rev up to 260,000 rpm. On a bike, a person could use a defuser to quiet it down. Lol in the second video with the midbike I'm pretty sure that's a turbocharger and I still can't see how it starts.
