Ok guys I have two problems and I consider them pretty important.

First is with the forks and head tube. When I am strattling the bike and pick up on the handlebars the fork moves quite a bit forward in the head tube like the bearings arent big enough for the race's and there is a lot of play. Has anyone had this problem and if so how do I fix it? I have tightened the big nut on top bit its already very tight and I dont want to put things in a bind.

Second, the rear brake pedal and mechanism sucks big time is there a better way to set up the rear brake with the pedal other than the way its done now?

I'm going to take it apart today and see if I cant figure it out I think I might have to take the cups off and shim them or something. I hope its not too serious

Well the only thing i could think of is that it deosn't have any bearings in them or they went bad.I know the bearings in the x6 are real cheap.

I dont know I will be taking it apart tonight, Its an x19 but I dont know if that makes a difference. It was like this from the get go so maybe they forgot a bearing race or something? dunno

its not the spring stiffness its the actual joint where the bearings and cups are that has movement. but yea I will keep yall updatedcowboy

I have the same problem with my bike.
When I took everything apart it looked as though the bearings were too small.
I'm trying to avoid my own trial and error from trying to fix someone elses mistakes so I went the easy road and just bought myself a new Triple Tree Assembly.
I know yours is brand spanking new so I really dunno why your having that problem.
My idea_smilie is that they just put the wrong bearings in your bike........see if you can't swap them out for larger ones that properly fitrock2

Yea I dragged out the old BMX bike and put that bearing race in there. The one that came in the bike was so tiny that it just fell apartthumb_down but we are good now! Time to try to figure out the rear brake and how to fix it thinking_smilie

well I was too rough on it I guess and broke the weld for the shaft coming off the plate that the brake pedal mounts to and I dont know what position it was in stock in order to weld it back on and make the back brake work againdunno
I need a few pictures of the part taken off I guess
