I am not too crazy about the peg placement on the x19.
To me, they feel a liitle too far back.
Maybe it is me and I need to be more flexable.
I dont like the feeling of my right foot on the peg and then having to use the rear brake peddle right next to it.
I was wondering if it is the same on other bikes and does anyone sell aftermarket foot pegs.
Thumb brake... ?

I think...no I know the pegs are out there, but is that really the problem. Maybe the pedal lever is to short or the angle is wrong. See if you can rotate the lever down first. I say that because it cost nothing but time to do it. If that doesn't work sit down and look at the rearset with a buddy sitting on the bike. You can do it right if you can't see what's wrong. Trying to do that sitting on the bike is impossible.

Well 80% or more of your braking is on the front. But I like to use a little rear brake also. I like the thought of a rear thumb brake the main reason being that Mid's are small and some of the foot pedals are awkward. Look into the thumb brake or asked and I'll post what I have.

Blitz is right. Sometimes I do thing a certain way and think everybody does. I ride on the balls of my feet and move the foot forward when I have to brake. rock

Let's see what I have in the war chest about thumb brakes??? The pictures I posted are for the fabricators on the forum. Just looking at the photo's will tell you what the thumb brake looks like and how it functions. The biggest factor is you have to route a brake line from the lever to the caliper. It's not hard but it may be a pain in the buttdunno. When I finally get my bike in the garage this is going to be interestingthumbsup

I took my rear brake off. There might be a way to work the rear brake Off of the front brakes. You'll need extra long brake line to run from the front brake lever plus make up a banjo bolt. The only down fall might be is the rear grabbing just as hard as the front. That could get you in a hole heap of trouble though.skull

That would be a even ABS system which would be trouble just like Swheels said. ABS front to back should have an uneven brake force with less in the back. A thumb brake system is a totally seperate system that you control with each hand.

No the left side on the rear of the bar. Your right hand has more than enough to do without adding something else, but if the right side works "Just Do It".
