Does any one know how to port and polish head and show much would you charge to do one.

Another question is has anyone modified the opening of the intake manifold and how did you do it?:confused:

I'm porting and polishing my 3 valve head now. Do I know what I'm doing...that remains to be seen bluelaugh. I've read through a lot of articles and even had someone give me rough estimates on the max opening of each intake runner. I stayed inside his numbers or at least I think I did.

I think you said some taboo words there, Nutty. Your reading and research often seems too hard in today's "I want it now" society. Poke12

Seriously guys there is plenty of info available on the internet, at bookstores and possibly even at your local library. There are no hard and fast rules when it comes to porting as even the top tuners in the world have different ideas about what works. Do the research, strive to understand what you are reading, think about what is happening inside your engines and then go to work. Start small by just cleaning up your ports and at least making sure that bit's that bolt together match each other. Then try a little reshaping based on your research. Work your way up. Engine tuners don't get to the top of their field with the first engine they do, they spend years perfecting their knowledge.

We do port work for $75. I recommend a hi lift cam when getting port work done, they really will compliment each other well.

I don't have the time for some of the modding, some I do, but for the ones I don't have I simply have to pay to get done.
I have a lot of homework, work, and family to deal with. My bike looks like it does cause time put into slowly but surely.
