Hey i'm new to the site and hoping to get some good advice to breaking in my 3 new pocket bikes (x-18's) any advice???
We also bought the 20mm carb kit (if i'm right) and the 17 tooth sprockets for all 3 and the race CDI from Holeshotsperformance.com.. Jay seemed pretty cool and took my order even on a saturday... nice.. but, yeah
I'm aiming for top speed and the ability to do some wheelies just for fun... i speed to much in my car so, yeah gettin it out on the bikes haha.... what's yall's suggestions to breaking them in ?? and what are some othere performance upgrades that will help the bikes get more power fast?? I like to feel the speed... rock2

Welcome to the nation. You will find alot of info in the newbie's question and answer on this site. For top speed 17 front sprocket and 28 rear. You won't be able to pop wheelies with these sprockets.
twocentsI just want to correct you on something you wrote these bikes are not pocketbike. They are Midbikes.

Break them in by riding them thumbsup2 Listening to Blitz I would change the oil immediately and put in some decent no synthetic oil and after about 3-4 tanks of harding riding then add a good motorcycle synthetic. Having 3 bikes I'd set them up to do different things. One for stunting. One for drag racing. One for cruising of the race track. Just my twocents as far as that's concerned.

get a new motor, the 110s just dont cut it
if money is no option then id get the 150 gpx to start
you CAN do wheelies with 17/28 gearing Rene, maybe you cant cuz of your swing
tires made a huge difference in the ride
i could go on and on...

that said i think im gonna get a 22 rear for the drag bike
i like the 28 on the track bike cuz i can drop to a 14 in the front for racing and pull in the corners good, then when im done i can put the 17 back in front and have top speed again

how hard is it to change the sprockets? about how long does it take if you have the tools laying in front of you? also hwo meny teeht can you change before you have to add or take out a link of 2?
sorry not trying to jack your thread just had a few questions while we were on the subject.

the front sprocket is fast to change
i do have to do a few links from 17-14 but i have a chain breaker so its fast, 10 min maybe
the rear sprocket means the whole wheel has to come off (bike on stand) and takes like twice as long, definate link change
moral:chain breakers are a good investment

I was wondring how much the CDI actually helps tho... I didnt buy the rear sprocket... only the front... with a 17 front and stock rear will i be able to still do wheelies?? j/w i'm pretty good with small engines and cars this should be a snap i'm just not good with adjusting the carbs... not sure wether to set the high side first then the low side then the idle...
J/w could someone estimate how fast this bike is STOCK and how fast it will be with the mods i'm about to do ??? i'm curious i dont get my bikes till wed or thurs of this week... holeshotzperformane ships fast... lol
The mods i ordered:
17 tooth front sprocket
22mm Carb with intake
CDI race box
stock rear sprocket
and what makes the MOST difference in power after the carb and exhaust ?? someone said a hotter plug and to run 93+ gas in it ???
My aim is to have nice top end and still be able to show off a lil and not let my friends pass me... hahaha

Welcome to MIDBIKE Nation Dee.
My advice is to read and learn.
There are a lot of members here who are very smart and willing to share.
Three x18's... very cool.
I would for sure have one for just stuntin.
Any pics yet?
