i know i have seen a few 3V motors that look like they would bolt into our bikes. has any one ran one yet or at least seen one put in a mid? i forgot what size it was but i think it was about a 90cc or so but it said it had the power of a 110 or 125cc motor. im just wondering if anyone has tried one or if you think its worth trying or should you just go with a 125 or bigger motor?

SP: my bike should be here tomorrow i cant wate to unpack it and ride it finely.

I know it's long but somewhere in my thread "Mid Bike Chronicles" I had to have mentioned the 125cc 3 Valve motor I'm about to put together? When It's up and running I'll post my impression.

have you torn into it at all yet? if so what do you think about it? do you think it os going to be worth your time and money? im sure you have not ran it in anything yet but what do you think about it from what you know to date?

I bought the motor in pieces and I've polished the head and will be putting the motor together wednesday I hope. Looking at the stock head and the 3 valve they're worlds apart. The stock head looks like...I don't know it just looks like it's to small for what we ask the motors to do. The 3 valve is also closer to what I'm used too.

how worth while would it be to pull the head off of the stock 110cc motor and port and polish it would the performance gains be worth my time and the price of the gaskets i would need to do it? i have ported a few motors from as small as a .15ci nitro R/C car motor to the pocket port job i did on the 32V 4.6 motor in my lincoln. the 32V motor was a job i had 24 holes to port (the 2 exhaust valves combie where they exit the head). it would be cool if they kept the 8 exhaust valves on their own ports it would make for some cool looking headers to have 8 pipes comming off of the head per side.

you could P&P the stock head but those valves are tiny
the three valve makes up for that on the intake side a little
i think id go with the race head, more available parts

I would go with Blitz. I got the 3 valve because it was available cheap. As for parts I'll have to have the stock parts re-worked because I haven't found a supplier yet. That doesn't mean there isn't one out there. hhmmm I haven't asked Akunar if they can supply me?

dont you need a piston with three valve clearence things for it to work on the motor?
ive seen a build on another side that someone did a 140 build off a 3 valve
little difference from what he saw over normal 2 valves i think

if you keep the piston dished it will be ok
the 3v was a great novelty that could have been better but they just stopped (the innovation)there and went with bigger displacement, which always works...
however, even takegawas highly reguarded dohc setup is only slightly better than their +r superhead on a similar bottom end
its because that +r head is bad azz too
