Ok, here I go again...again a search didnt preval much..so here I am.
After looking at bare frame pics that are out there...These bikes dont seem to be limited to whats out there for Horizontal motors. Can a vertical motor fit? It seems like tons of crazy engine swaps could be done with some fab work if Veritcal motors fit. Anybody have an opinion? What about liqiud cooled? I read that one of the XMR? guys has a LC motor, exactly what is it?
I suppose they are limited to power...frame just isnt made for crazy power.

ya u can fit them in there!
but u need to make custom mounts for them and Aline all the sprockets, chain and stuff like that..
so your going to have to do lots of measurements and welding.

Actually what I meant was will it fit, period. I certainly understand that it will not just BOLT up, it would take some pretty serious fab work. Just a thought anyway.
IF i were to go that far, something liquid cooled would be the way. Who knows, I wont even get my little bike until sometime next week and I am already killing my free time trying to figure out certain things...what an addiction!!

With some good amount of fabbing you can make alot of motors fit but the real problems surface with the swingarm when you're trying to get some real power, they just aren't engineered that great.
One problem at a time I guessdunno

Here you go. I new somebody has done it already. It still crosses my mind to do it but i have a feeling what the end results would be.Trying to make it into a track bike and all with that setup. pullin power wheelies out almost every turn. But the frontend of the bike will suffer a great deal.LOL

I remember that bike. If I remember right hit had so much torque at the rear that the axle adjusters kept stripping(messing up).

Yup, thats pretty insane. A little bit overboard IMHO. To each his own though. A nice small liquid cooled 2stroke to me would be ideal. I just KNOW I seen or heard of one of you guys on here with a smaller kx motor installed. I would LOVE to know some details of that build. Pretty much exactly what I would be looking for.
Shooter, Yea...I said that since I started my ideas on building up one of these. The swingarms just simply look cheesy. I would be interested in the specs of the swingarms, just to see what can be done as far as customs...oh well guess I gotta wait another week till I get my bike.
