the x18 is the lighest and best bike to get....the others have bulky frames.....and i dont like how some of the others are built geometry wise....the 18 uses good geometry and structure and uses the motor as part of the structure like a real bike does

I have to agree with Stuntn. I have the X22 and I honestly believe it has the strongest frame...BUT it's heavier too. Best of both worlds the X18 but I hate the looks and build quality of the bodywork. Second the X12 just because there are more parts available for the bodywork and the frame. I picked the X22 because I think it will handle power up better and the swingarm is a beast. The steering geometry is race ready and quick and as cat. Maybe to quick we'll see.

dang, now i im totally confused on which to get. getting power big wont be a problem for me to achieve but i would like it to be strong enough to handle it. crap, im am completely stuck in the middle of the road.
oh yeah where can i get a spec sheet on these things. i would like to look at the telemetry before i chose

You can always re-inforce the frame and swingarm. That's what i'm doing.

Hey Np Is to less of a rake or is it to much rake will be more susceptible to frontend tucks.I'm not sure on which one.Cuase i'm gonna work on changing the rake of the bike.thinking_smilie

The lightest of all the xbikes is the ducati monster. It has an all aluminum chassis.I wish they still made them. I couldn't believe how lite it was when i picked one of them up.

you dont want to cut any away from these frames, they are too flexable as it is already, if anything you want to reinforce like they already said
make enough power and weight wont be much as an issue as strenth will

10 4. guess its a good thing i am a welder/ fabricator then. what else other than the frame needs to be braced then?

hey dude its not like it flexes all over the place just so everybodies on the same page......ive mousetrapped my x7 which has the same setup and it rides the same as it did new......and ive got basically no suspension in the front end either.....

the only thing i see on the 18 that could be better is the under tubes for stucture, they couldve been brought back all the way instead of stopping

Less rake or forks closer to the motor more likely to tuck but will steer quick. Push the rake out and it steers like a truck but less likely to tuck. That little rhyme is how I remember.

although the x18 may be the lightest one
it does seem to hold up to power vary well
seeing as it handles RK's motor without breaking the frame
and it holds my 146 motor pretty well
except if you see me speeding the rear swingarm is jumping...but thats suspension wise

Please explain what you mean about more or less likely to tuck?

Please explain what "mousetrapped" or "moustrapping" is?

I can do the tuck part but mousetrap is a term I haven't heard. If I have I've forgotten which isn't usual. To tuck means you are leaned over in a turn and the front tire looses traction and slides out into a lowside. Like tucking a sheet under the matteress of a bed.

Ahh, so No tuck= more stable/less responsive. Tuck="Twitchy". The only "tucking" I had heard mentioned before on bikes was when you tucked down and in to minimize your "areo profile."

Thanks for the clarification.
