Just wondering but... what if you came across the border and bought a midbike cheaper and then took it back home in Canada. Is that legal? Would you be busted? Just wondering even though I don't even know how far from the border you live.

Well I would have to pay duty tax if I spent more than 200 bucks on it.
I would spend more on gas (7 -9 hour drive)than the difference in price(gas is $1.09 a liter up here,3.78 l in a gallon) I would also have to buy a speedo with kph for inspection. and title fees to change over from 1 country to another. I wish I could but its not practical.
I have also thought about buying one, getting it mailed to my dad in North Carolina and then HIM shipping it to me but the border customs will not allow it to cross over:(.But then again to have it shipped here IF they did allow it to cross would cost about the same extra to just go into topfueltoyscanada and buy it myself.Plus here I can go into the store and look it over before I buy it.

OK. I figures there was a reason. Now I know.
BTW, what is the reason they cost so much more in Canada? A tax?

Freakin everything is higher up here, remember this is basicly the richest country in the world(oil)You can go to burger king and start out making 12 bucks an hour(nothing to do with oil I know). My wife is a oil field operator and make 30 bucks an hour and this is only her second year. But the cost of living is higher to,A pack of cigarettes is 12 bucks,in N.C. they were $3.20 when I left(11 months ago).
