Whats up everyone. I just made a custom thick padded seat for my x18, this seat is very comfortable and make my bike look sweet with it. As you can see I bought many extra materials…nice thick high-quality marine vinyl, nice soft and some-what firm but comfortable seat padding and strong Velcro. I made this seat using tools to make the seat looking nice using a foam cutter to make the sides have a nice clean cut, high quality 3M spray glue and strong staples. If anyone wants me to customize there seat send me a PM for the pricing. You will have a choice about the thickness, mine in the picture is 2” you can choice from 1’-4’ thick of padding…….so send a PM if interested!!!!!!!!! thumbsup2
You would send the seat to me with a money order and ill send the seat out 2-4 days after receiving it using priority USPS. Send a PM for the price!!thumbsup2

The velcro is places at the bottom of seat and your fairing and is used to make it easier to disassemble/assemble the bike, it is a pain to take those bolts out of the seat! So with the velcro you first bolt down the fairing then velcro the seat to the fairing.....very easy! Here are some pictures of the seat on the fender, it is not Velcroed on yet.........thumbsup2
It looks alot better in person!

On mine I was going to use the velcro but decided to epoxy the seat bolts to the seat pan and it it just slides into place and it doesn't come off easily. Wing nuts are optional underneath.

Thats a good idea, but the velcro seems to hold good...i also put metal caps on the plastic points on the bottom of the seat so it fits in the seat!thumbsup2

Well, i would want to help by purchasing your left over materials, but it would be long to ship you the money order then you ship the materials. I would rather just get all the stuff localy, if you understand. Plus i dont use paypal anymore so i couldn't pay with that....

I do have a Joan's Fabric right down the road! So what do i need, 1' thick foam, and leather vinyl. Put the foam over the original seat and put the leather over it and staple it on the bottem? sounds easy... Wheres the glue come in?

yea, it just makes it allot easier and stronger.....you spray glue the foam to the stock seat and stack how much you want spraying glue under them......
