We are getting a lot of response for this ride and we see scooters arriving from three different states. Looks like everything from 50cc two and four stoke scooters plus the larger maxi scooters and some motorcycles. Mike and I took a ride on the route that we have planned out yesterday and it was a beautiful ride. Here is the plan for the days events.

8:00am -10:00am
Meet and Greet at Scootertronics
There is an all you can eat breakfast buffet across the street at the Cozy Inn for those who want to eat breakfast for a small fee. Get here early so you can meet all the different scooter riders and their scooters plus check out some bling and extras from scootertronics plus our high powered CPI scoots. Refreshments will be served. Gas Check also at this time plus equipment check and sign up for ride.

10:00am -10:30am
Cruise through the town of Thurmont that includes covered bridge stop for photos.
This is a great small historic town with lots of cool shops and places to see and do.

10:30am -11:00am
Up Rt.77 to Cunningham lake for quick stop.
We will make a quick stop at the Lake just to take some quick pics and see the lake.

11:00am – 12:00pm
Ride thru park central and up to GT’s in Cascade
This is beutiful ride through the Catoctin Mountain Park then down Foxville Deerfeild Rd to Rt550 with a stop at GT’S in Cascade Md. for those who need food or gas.

12:00pm -12:30pm
Ride thru Ft Richie and up to PennMar park
We will ride thru Fort Richie witch was a military fort that is now open to the public. Then we will stop at PennMar park for a lunch break.

1:30pm -2:00pm
Leave PennMar Park to goto High Rock Summit
We will than travel to the summit of High Rock with a beautiful view at the overlook.

2:30pm -3:00pm
Leave High Rock to Old fashion Swimming hole
Great place to cool off. I have been going there since I was a kid.
Very nice area to take a minute to see the outdoors for those who don’t want to get wet.

3:30pm – 4:00PM
Leave Swimming Hole to return to Scootertronics
We wiLl all get ready to go to Tommy Thunders and fuel up and get anything you need from Scootertronics or the stores in town.

4:30pm
Leave for Tommy Thunder’s for cookout/party
Nice country ride through the farm lands and foothills to Tommy’s .It is about 17 miles to the Thunder compound.

5:00pm till 7:00PM
Cookout, music and party at Tommy Thunders
We will be having a cook out with food and fun . Tommy’s band Guilty In A Sense will provide some entertainment. They are a classic rock band that does a great job. From Lynyard Skynyard to Dire Straits there is something for everyone.

Notes:
We wil be stopping for lunch at PennMar park so you must bring lunch with you or you can get lunch at GT’S OR Chocalate Park. We will be stopping at GT’s just prior to the lunch stop. Chokalate Park is a bar/resturant that is right below PennMar Park for those who want to stop there.
Also we will be stopping at a great Old Fashion Swimming hole so bring shorts/bathing suit and towel if you want to jump in !
The cook out at Tommy Thunders will be for everyone that come out for the ride. We will have hamburgers and hotdogs and drinks. Anyone who wants to bring a food dish is encouraged but not required. There is also a full motorcross park at the Thunder compound so if any one gets a little crazy we could run a scooter cross race. So hope to see every one out there on Aug. 1st.

If any one needs to camp out Saturday night let me know and I will set it up for you.
